So a few days ago I came across this great presentation by, Ken Schwaber, creator of the Agile Alliance foundation. The presentation is a high-level overview of the SCRUM methodology, what it is, and what it isn’t. It’s about 30mins long so if you just happen to listen to part of it I would suggest the last half as it is a Q&A session with some pretty difficult questions pertaining to customers and investors (partially). And if you don’t know what SCRUM, or the agile workflow, is then listen to all of it! Many great things come from this approach, one being a quality life (good health, rest, meeting production deadlines, etc…) in lets say a gaming company/environment…how often do you hear of that??? HAHA. But it looks like a lot of compaines are seeing the rewards of this process so hopefully the industry will make a change in the right direction.

So just a few days ago my friend directed me to this BibTex database implementation http://www.aigaion.nl/. WOW, is it great….if you use bibtex you need this. Or if you’d like to start organizing your bibliography entries you need this, just amazing. Other than that i’m wrapping up a few projects with the Office of Admissions at Purdue and spending some time with metroid on the wii.

So this is my first entry into a “Blog” and will most likely be that way for a while with my thesis consuming the greater part of my time. I plan on this blog being the central location for most of my hobbies and events during grad school at Purdue University. But, for the meantime check out
